Edward G. McNeil
Edward G. McNeil, CPA is a new partner in the firm as of July 1, 2005. Before joining the firm in 1993, Ed worked in the tax department for a publicly traded environmental remediation company for four and a half years. Ed has extensive experience in tax planning and compliance for individuals, partnership, corporations, and trusts. He has prepared corporate tax returns for all 50 states and the District of Columbia. His business concentration has been in the real estate industry since joining the firm. He has provided clients with analysis and advice regarding applying for, maintaining, and complying with low-income housing tax credits.
Ed has represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service and the Massachusetts Department of Revenue for various compliance related audits. He has successfully petitioned the Department of Labor to reduce benefit plan penalties for clients and has provided litigation support services for complicated tax matters. He has also authored several tax articles for regional publications.
He is a member of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs and the Tax Division of the American Institute of CPAs. He graduated from Bentley College.
