Jay Kaufman
Jay Kaufman, CPA, is a partner and Director of Accounting and Auditing at the firm. He also served as the partner in charge of the firm’s peer review services and has performed in excess of 100 peer reviews of other CPA firms. Jay has in excess of 31 years of experience in public accounting which includes providing accounting, auditing, and consulting services to clients in a variety of industries including real estate, colleges, nonprofit organizations and foundations, governmental, construction and other contracting companies, investment funds, service industries, manufacturing, and retail. Prior to joining Ercolini & Company LLP in November 1986, Jay was employed for over ten years with two international public accounting firms - the most recent of which was Touche Ross & Company (now Deloitte), where he was a Senior Manager. His accounting, auditing, and tax experience included performing and managing engagements of public companies and closely held companies in many diverse industries.
Jay’s professional affiliations include the American Institute of CPAs and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs. He is a member and past Chair of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs’ Accounting Principles and Auditing Procedures Committee. He is also a past member and Chair of the Society’s Peer Review Executive Committee and Peer Review Acceptance Board as well as a former member of the Society’s Board of Directors and its Professional Conduct Subcommittee.
Jay was honored by the Massachusetts Society of CPAs as its 1997 recipient of the Professional Service Award for his significant contributions to the accounting profession. Jay is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
